At least the UK gets full LED lights as standard, VW UK got something right.
Even though I've ordered one I'm still not convinced about the red line continuing into the lights, something a bit naff about it, hoping it'll grow on me up close and personal.
Where I live I see a girl who drives a standard Polo with a GTI grill ( don't see the point of that) I would think she is now going to have to draw a red line onto the lights to be completely up to date!
I wonder how many BlueGT owners are secretly wanting to test drive the new GTI even though they have declared their undying love for their cars.

I think that's part of a launch edition pack. Comes standart with LEDsplus a few other tricks.
We don't get that unfortunately so I was forced to fork out another 900€ for the headlights.
I'm not really sure it's worth it at the stock headlights look pretty good too. But the DRL are normal yellow bulbs and I didn't like that very much, the LED units have more of a distinct signature that's sure to make people get out of the way on fast roads

ive got an SEL, and i love the GTI i think it looks so smart and the extra detail in the headlight makes it stand out more imo. So jealous!

Nope, in the UK, the SEL & GTI come with full LED & LED DRL included as standard, no introduction offer

Any idea what port it's heading to? Mine took one week and one day from me being told it was on it's way to Emden, to actually arriving in Sheerness.

Not too sure, but I'm getting Sheerness as well since I'm based in London. When did yours arrive in the UK? Mine left the factory on the 8th but has been in transit ever since..

Are you all talking about delivery of the new GTI or some other Polo?

Yes I'm well versed in how it works! Wouldn't be the first time that people were talking about slightly different cars on a thread.

Just thought Id say hello.
We pick up my wifes new white 3 door GTI on Saturday. Apparently its the first one on the roads in NE Scotland!
We traded in her Polo R Line which was a superb car, hopefully the GTI will be just as good!
Will post a first impressions report after a few days of playing with it!

Indeed - as SEL is mentioned in the context of the thread so I similarly thought we had gone off topic here.
