the brakes were round about £700, and i love them.

they look good and give a good feel, much better than the standard ones, can feel the bite much quicker

im hoping to get around 160ish bhp with the cams installed

How much were the cams and what kind are they? If you dont mind me askin.

The cams are Schrick cams and were about £550 for them

Thats a serious push on a normal gearbox - you may need to get it uprated for it to manage that kind of power.

should update this as i no longer have the GTI
However it has gone too a good home. Loved every minute of the car and was sad to see it go, but i decided it was time for a change and the car ive replaced it with came up at the right time.


The new car is another GTI, but this time sporting a 1.8T

1.8 20vt conversion with custom code remap, front mounted intercooler, custom stainless exhaust with sports cat, ramair induction kit, tdi gearbox. running standard management, the power is around 280bhp

4 pot hi spec brakes with 280mm discs and braided lines
fk coilovers
smoothed front and rear bumpers
boot handle removed ,its on a popper
gloss black roof, spoiler,door handles,petrol flap,spiltter,front grills and headlamp washers
porsche gt3 replica seats
false floor
battery relocated to the boot

yep jamies old car.

tidy the car up , just a few ssmall dents in bonnet to be removed, source new wheels, and a service at the moment

small update.got myself a forge 007 recirc valve and a swoosh boost guage for the polo. also a new hose to replace the one that was worn through





Next up are to tidy up a few things on the car and get some alloys. Currently redoing my engine cover so will have some more pics when it is finished
