My Polo - The Project..
I live in Northampton but probably won't go early edition, but il be out an about driving at the weekend... Defo keeping an eye out for this one
Re: My Polo - The Project..
So, if as some of you know the car was back in time for Early Edition yesterday. Bit of drama on the way there but was a good day none the less!
Whilst car was getting repaired a few pieces were delivered..
Full face mask and some Jap Spec 6n2 Rears!
yaya!

Had it back at 5pm saturday evening, meaning a sleepless night (which it was) getting the car prepped ready to leave at 5am sunday morning.. The mask went on at 2am.. needless to say i payed the price for the lack of sleep!

A few pictures from the show..

Shall be ordering some new goodies this week again
Updates soon..

Re: My Polo - The Project..
Slow progress at the moment.. Few things have been sorted for the next few weeks tho..
- I've ordered my new seats, they should be with me in about 6-8 weeks.. I'm hoping they here in time for Modified Nationals in June!
- I've bought new seat frames, OMP ones so they will look a bit better than my current ones in the car.
- Booked the car back into the bodyshop to sort out a niggly paint defect on my bonnet (and other places if i spot them beforehand)
- Decing between putting in the rear trims inside the car, (c pillars, side boot carpets & parcel shelf mounts) just to tidy up the rear. Will be turned black intead of gray so will look a little bit neater.. Possibly, undecided yet.
- Possibly a full rather than half a false floor, once again still undecided.
- Carpet Died black..
Hmm, not alot will go on this next month i dont think. Money has become scares. Little bit exited with paypal this month, oopsie.

Re: My Polo - The Project..
Little update just so the progress on the thread doesnt stop completelly
As said before, my new seats have been ordered.. Debating to reveal what ive bought now or when they actually arrive.. hmm.. Debate needed
The roof was ridiculously swirly, so i decided to get to work at removing them seeming as the roof has had a few weeks for the paint to fully cure. All done by hand, no machines - Took forever!:( Even though its not perfect, its a vast improvement! Cant really see it in the picture but trust me, its looking pretty now!
After > Before

2 coats of DODO Juice's 'Purple Haze' - applied by bare fingertips..

Finished reflection

Had a delivery in prep for my new seats too.. Some new Frames. The ones i have at the moment look a bit tacky. These look far better!

Do i reveal.. or dont i reveal.. hmmm

SPOTTED
Japfest today was parked couple cars infront of you !
Had a little nose around when we were leaving and the picks dont really do your car much justice. When i was flicking through the pics a while ago the back end looked abit plain without the badge and 6n2 bumper but seeeing it in the flesh it looks different but nice with the number plate and smoothed bodywork
We also think its a german jap combo car
Very nice though and can see alot of effort has gone into the car hope you enjoyed japfest
Mate took a pic of it and shall upload it to your thread soon
Good job

As Phil said Car looked good in the flesh mate. Paint work is so pristine. Mine was only a couple of rows in front but a bit grubby after the trek from Plymouth. Pictures as promised:

Just another quick update to keep the tread alive!
Bonnet was re-done and is looking shiney shiney again..
Went to japfest with a few mates on the weekend, if anyone from here went and saw my car in the grassy car park say hello! haha Got some new inspirations for the inside of the car aswell.. Just a shame i cant afford anything at the mo! FLAT broke
Was going to keep it a secret, but ill let the cat out of the bag.. These are what im waiting for.. Expected delivery on the 26th June..
One Bride Gardis for the drivers

One Bride Zeta for the passenger..

Few small tiny touches left to do on the outside until its exactly how i want it, then i can focus entirely on the inside and possible even look into things under the bonnet? Maybe..
Updates as they come..
Re: My Polo - The Project..
Little update to revive the thread a little bit.. If anyone here went to Modified Nationals on the weekend and got a few snaps of my car post them up
Few pics of the Polo at Mod Nats..

Debating what to buy next for the car.. I have a list of things but im debating how much i can afford to spend this month :\ Im once again unemployed
updates soon..
