Where's the best place to get pressed plates? Had a look on Dubmeister. There's no way I'm sending off my vehicle documents to anyone...

Re: Tom's 6N2 GTI Progress Thread - Winter Prep & shiny new.

Post by t.small »

Along with many others on here, carried out some winter prep today; mainly changing my wheels and giving them a good clean ready for storage.
Got the original silver BBS RX2s back on which still look pretty good and the standard rear lights are staying on for now.

And this I'm very very VERY pleased about!
Been trying to find some of these door sills/scuff plates for the 3 door 6N2 ever since I bought the car!
Finally found a set on a website and they look proper mint. Fitted today and gleaming. Here's a few pics for y'all!

Haha, thought some of you guys might be interested!
They call the 6N2 a mk3 which is wrong - I always used to get confused with websites because none of them seem to know what mk it is!
But they're the right ones.

Oh yeah, probably should have put these up a while ago, but thought you might all be interested to see my little Polo in comparison to James May's new Ferrari!
Not really a worthy comparison haha but thought it was quite a smart shot :)

Quality! 8)
Just noticed your post reference the pressed plates too, either dubmeister or eBay mate.
Got mine for the GTI off dubmeister but my Civic plates were from eBay
