Nice one thanks Josh, i'll look into that. Will they be competative compared to other quotes around 6-7K??
Rab, good call mate its definately one thing i have to do end of story. Just read about the ibizas in the golf+ and it sent my mind racing. that is kinda the attitude i had with airbag suspension. Just thought b****x and went with it. Cost me a fortune but was the first in the uk on air. Shame i've got to wait another year before i can show it off. By then i'm sure there will be many polos using the kit developed on my car.
Got your car back yet rab?

Stealth Racing done the conversion didn't they?...sounds like a major ball-ache tho into a little Polo 4 - but at least it will fly on the road, although traction may be another problem!
You having a diff fitted into the box, is it 02M 2wd 6-sp box or are they converting the TT box to 2wd?...

i believe jamie is using a quaife six speed box with diff. From what he has said previously there was no way the stealth guys could get the S3 box in.
Should really rock when its running, could probably benefit from launch control

a little advise if your thinking about this conversion.

1.make sure you have a second car
2.and make sure you have plenty of plenty of money in reserve and
3.make sure your willing to wait many months for your car to be complete

Did someone mention there was a quaife six speed box involved?

It may be a bit late but I've been speaking with Mike and Jabba about another project and they told me they had quite a few problems with this gearbox - it was indestrucable but very slow and stiff to change - probably wont matter too much if your not sprinting but they advised a TT225 triple shaft box.

Like I said of your not racing it shouldn't be too bad - but just something to bear in mind.

Who's the photoshoot with and have you had a word with Josh about appearing on the club stand at shows?

why? If I was in your position I'd show it next year - get it featured and then strip it for the following season and drag it. You'll get more respect that way than having it featured - it doesn't exactly take much to get featured.

With an IHI turbo and a chip from Jabba I can't think of many polos that would beat you

im sorry karl, but i dont see the point in dragging a show car. i know they are a little more extreme than mine but dubsports mrk1, and that silver quattro's paintwork is in a right mess! the car is (IMO) too mint to race.

i want it featured more than anything, thats all ive ever wanted. ive been promised a front page, so fingers crossed.as far as jabba sport is concerned, i wouldnt go to them as they werent able to map richards lupo, and ended up taking it to stealth racing as their workmanship is IMO second to none!

any way anymore than 270bhp, using a larger turbo would cause major turbo lag, and IMO would be undriveable.

but why a fast engine if your not going to drive it fast! :? :x

my brain hurts! Why not just polish up the original, or fit a 1.9TDI lump to be different (a 20vT is NOT different). I really can't see the logic behind your decision, you seem to be building this car for PVW/Golf+/Redline et al and not yourself!

and you'll not have any major lag until over 300hp imo - theres loads of daily drivers with this power

Probably more to do with Richards choice of engine and how quick he wanted the work doing.

Remember Jabba built the first 1.8T Lupo that led the VW Racing Cup for a large part of the series (2 wins and 2 2nd in its first 4 races), they also have a track record for working with the 20vT that is equaled only by a few, and do i even need to mention there record with the G-Lader?

It's not how much bhp you have that ill make it laggy - it's the size of the turbo and how quickly it spools up and gets on boost.
