Hi there silver polo welcome to the forum!
Hope you recieve a better welcome that I did

Anyway heres a few picture of some polos with 18" rims!
The look so sweet if only I had the money!
Talk to mole. Your best bet is to go with some 17" with a drop of around 60/70 mm this way your car will look kool and it will save any modification on your arches!

IMO cars with big wheels and loads of space between the tyre and arch look a bit daft.

If you have the sports suspension on, i think you should be okay. Might need some uprated shocks to stop it rubbing when you go over a bump (not sure if the VW sports kit includes shocks).

My Koni springs and adjustable dampers cost just under £300 fitted, not sure if theres one available for the 9n yet, but put a post in the Chassis section and i'm sure someone with a 9n will be able to help.

Its okay, me and a friend were driving round Rotherham on that day in his recently tuned D Turbo. its a burgandy one with anthrite rims for reference, so be careful - its rapid for a diesels.
