tween you and me looks like twas either overreading at the bottom end or under at the top... perhaps both... had an MSN discussion over this
that was a bogstandard GT with nothing done to it then? or just bought ready-modded?
gonna have to look at a few more results, but if so, that together with karl's 62bhp - but - 90lbft CL gives cause for raised eyebrows

90lb/ft cl.... karls was around 60lb/ft???
stock gt's.... good power.
90bhp i only got 76lb ft
shows that stock airbox's still hold the edge over ill thoughtout induction mods

It got 62bhp @ 4256rpm, with 94ib/ft of torque @ 2650rpm. There was another guy who ran a CL with a few more mods than me, and got 67bhp, and went just above the 100ib/ft torque mark. Myself, and the other CL ran in the afternoon, when conditions improved, but still, 94, and 100 or so ib/ft torque from a 1.3SPi is a bit of an eye opener

CLs should make good torque - but it drops off pretty quickly after peaking, hence why they don't make massive power. GTs have peak torque higher up the rev range, but also have a flatter torque curve - that's what makes them quicker.

I was dead proud of mine, getting 84bhp and 85lbs/ft torque, until all of a sudden Dan's turned up and got the same power but even more torque.
Mine's mildly modded, and running very well, in theory it should've made more than Dan's on the rollers. Not questionning the results, but it is strange.
Still, I'm content with 84bhp as a power output. Doesn't bother me because the trusty 3F engine is getting ditched soon in favour of something a bit more powerful.

I think dan's reconditioned cylinder head helped him out quite a bit. Everything will have been sealing very well making the compression pressures spot on, thus giving more torque.
I was gutted when I found out my 1.4 GT had LESS torque than a 1.3 CL

(i got about 95lbft at 3300rpm but it was almost flat for 1000rpm before and after that apart from the huge and unexplainable divot in the torque curve at 3800rpm

)

Did quite a few people get dips in the power / torque surves ? If so, who did ?

2fchris got one as well in the same place. Ive only seen the power curves other ppl have posted though so I dunno if we're the only two or not.
