What colour is the car?

You can paint over it but to be honest if you use the stuff properly you shouldn't see it whatever the colour is..... From a personal perspective I only ever use black but thats me!!!

car is silver and the parts already painted, is it wiser to use black so that i can see if there is excess coming out? and does this stuff come off easily, like elastic or is it rock solid?

cheers again :)

Well, if you can see it, black's going to look less obvious than grey on a silver car - the closer matched two colours are the more they will clash (up to a point anyway). Black's a pretty safe bet with anything ;)
