Apparently so:

It's "confirmed" about halfway through the thread.

I already know of a 200bhp Fabia that's for sale...but it's a diesel, with 24k on the clock, Brembos, TT Comps, etc etc.
Not a blatant plug, honest!

Wouldn't 200 bhp make it faster than both the upcoming Polo GTI (no real shocker) and even the Seat Ibiza what'sitcalled? Isn't Seat supposed to be the 'sporty' brand?

Seat seems to have lost its identity a bit with the new Leon and Toleado. They hardly appear sporting at first sight.
Although the new shape Leon that passed me on the M1 yesterday looked really good was it approached from the rear and passed by the side. It all fell apart with the eggcup-shaped rear end though. All, ihmo, of course
Also current-shap LCR is faster than MKV GTI, so I don't think it'd worry VW too much.
I should mention that there's a 100hp Fabia "Sport" coming as well.
Still - only four weeks until Geneva if this does turn up there. But far more important will be the 9N2 / 9NF unveilling...

Deek, what new Leon?
You mean the Altea?
The new Leon is to be released later on in the year.

It was the one with the "normal" rear window profile -- not the "notched" one like the renault avantime? thingie.
I thought that was the new leon -- maybe I've got the two mixed up because, as far as I can tell - the rear window seems to be the only thing that's different about them.

For comparison:
Altea:
New Toledo:
My guess was it was the Altea you saw? They're both very similar, but the Toledo is slightly bigger and sits a little lower, no?

I know the Leon and Toledo were pretty much the same, like the Altea and New Toledo, but there is a new Leon on it's way too!

So the next-gen Ibiza will look this way too, but a little smaller? How confusing if it does...... and I wonder if Seat have an Arosa replacement on the cards?

No Arosa replacement, at all.
Ibiza replacement? Give it a few years yet!

I thought the VW Fox chassis was going to be used for an Arosa replacement?
