K i have a major prob, when i turn to me car to the right and not on full lock and go over a speed bump, or just turn into a road, it grins and peeps really look at me

Now ive been told that i might have been alloys and thats the nuts might hve knocked me rear shoes, expect it was making the noise before i had new drummers and shoes put on, and now it doing it even more

It sounds like me back brakes are locking up and grinding, expect it only comes from the front of the car

Im just a little worried, and i know the diffence between scrubbie and this noise and it aint scrubbie already checked

Any idea's

Its probably a CV joint. Ive know Idea how serious the problem is though (my mk2 does it on the passenger side when turing right but only when theres loads of people in the car)

It does it on both side, and has only been since i lowered the car, thats the prob.

DO u know if doing a CV joint on a polo coupe is a bicth of a job?

I was told that it was my eqhaust that was grind on the floor :D funny that when it the standard one

There are worse jobs on a polo than replacing a cv joint, wheel bearings for example. but neither are for the faint-hearted.

Anything involving driveshafts I'd recommend you give to someone else.. they're real buggers to assemble without resorting to thumping them with a mallet ;)

I think you found the cause of the problem yourself (I won't have a pop at you for chopping springs you've suffered enough abuse for that as it is)cv joints wouldn't just start knocking.

yes but i was told by a garage that it was somefink and not the springs, its when u turn the wheel and go over the bump, and sharp coners maybe

It does all now and then not all the time, the front springs are ok, the backs are the ones that caused probs.

the noise comes from were the gearbox is, around that area

right then it is you cv joints ,but its only do it because of the increased unsprung weight of the car since the spring chop
