If you can bare with me, I think Dan wrote a little comparison in his section on the two chips. I guess it will depend on your driving style as to what suits your needs ultimately...

Here's what Dan had to say after optima21 on here and porka compared the poloace and hardhitter chips...
hardhitter wrote:...I've had feedback from optima21 who's done a comparison between our chips. My chip gave more torque and driveability where the one poloace does had more top end ability with a higher rev limit (i think).

Yes, unfortunately I only do chips for the 3F engine. They are a very good quality map and run excelent with either super or regular unleaded (super is better) and give very good results for a small price.

funny, for the 1L i'd say the poloace/fahrvergnugen item has increased the torque (a smidgen) and improved the smoothness of it's delivery, but left the top end untouched.

so would it be possible to get a hybrid of the two that provides proper low-end torque AND top-end power?

I think mr barningfield's gt chips have been proven to use less fuel than the poloace ones, but I havent tried for myself yet. At full throttle however there was no obvious difference in power between the two (as tested with dom's road dyno)
