Hello all
Just bought a 51 plate GTI last week and must say i am well impressed
with it

, just got to decide what wheels/ springs to put on it etc
I like it that much i am letting my missus use my RS turbo and she hardly gets to sit in it let alone drive it !! we are fighting for the GTI....
Is there anything i need to look out for on the car, any advise gladly received.
will post some piccies when i work out how to do it !!!
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris! Welcome to UK-P!
For a little bit of info about the Polo with regards to common problems, you can try
this thread and see what you make of it, plus you can use the forum's search feature to search through the GTi forum and find topics on common issues that we've all suffered at one point or another!
For your pictures, try using
www.imageshack.us, it's reliable and easy-to-use, and you can create a post in Member's Rides in a matter of minutes
Hope you enjoy the car... and if you're going to sell the BBS wheels, you'll make a nice price with them, they're worth quite a bit
Cheers

All this things that we have to look out for, I hope mine is alright. Only brought it about a month ago, with 43k on the clock. Too late on the wheels as I didnt' read this site before I buy!

But other things seems to be working as normal. Although I dont think my EDL is kicking in which I thought it will have, hence is manufactured date was Jan 2001. But 1 owner till now so is not bad.
I will have to sort out a photo and post it here. But the car does bring me a smile when I drive. Certainly better then the 206 I used to have.

Nice colour mate yack the power up on the gti and it will case the light/med mod'd RS turbos and over take with ease!!
Unless there like some turbos around essex that run cossie lumps etc!
