I can think of one person who isn't going to like this.

It's arrived.

Jamie, it looks like this was a fantastic little car. I've gotta say though that this is the first smashed up car of mine that I've stood and looked at and smiled. Makes a change.

I plan to hav emy Polo running this G40 power by the end of Easter weekend.

Nice one dude! How f****d is the chassis on that motor? Proper f****d?

Chassis leg is toast, and the roof is creased behind the sunroof.

Shame, but that's the way it goes! The G that my engine came out of was a minter in Royal Blue - but the chassis was dead, and had already been repaired once. Needed £1500+ spending to get it right, and even then it'd never have been spot on. I felt bad for breaking such a mint car, but it had to be done!

Yeah, jamie did a nice job with this one. It's all greasy now though from follong the flatbed home in the raid.. But the paint under the dirt looks mint when you rub it!

Gonna replace the rocker cover gasket as it looks like it's leaking, and I'll swap the inlet manifolds from my GT.

Key money is in the wheels, brakes, trim, interior and badges. Though suspension, glass and panels made me a fair whack on my breaker too. If you're lucky the engine won't end up costing you much at all if you can sell the bits at the right price.

I don't see how anyone can complain about breaking it. sure it looks like it was a minter before the accident but if the roof & chassis leg are creased it's pretty damn fecked!

Good luck with the conversion Rob.

i'd agree, if the car was a minter and u took the engine out i'd have something to complain about! but as the car has "had it" i think the engine must live on!

can't wait to see it rob! good luck!

I'm gonna echo what's written on Porka about it, can't wait to see it done, even more excited about my own planned conversion mind. Just waiting for the right donor to come along. 8)

Nice to see you got it.

Let me know about those wheels, Robert.

The wheels are all un-kerbed as far as I could see. Front tyres are scrubbed pretty bald on the insides.

What are they worth?

would you sell me the brake carriers? :?:

The brakes will be sold complete. I imagine that stuff ike that will end up on ebay.

Once I've stripped the car I will let people know what I do and don't ahve.
