Engine will be in mine by next monday.
Have just ordered a new braided oil pipe for the charger and some spark plugs from Pitstop.
Will be getting 2 new petrol pumps, filter, oil filter, ht leads, gaskets, and maybe a 4 branch this week.
Jamie, did the car use a lot of petrol?? The tank was rusted through where the filler neck meets the tank....
Dan, the throttle cable is toast.
Also Jamie, what suspension was on the car? And how damn tight do you do wheel nuts up?????????

That's bloody great progress that!
However, I think I'm gonna buy just an engine for mine, I doubt my parents would take too kindly to the mess and I don't have a garage/drive/big enough garden!
Your car's gonna be awesome with that G40 engine tucked under the bonnet.

110nm is wot the haynes manual says i'm sure! had to do mine the other day but we've done mine up to 90nm i think!
wot about the tension on the belts of the charger, check that out in the haynes, thats quite high as well!

Wheel bolts on a mk2 are 100Nm according to my haynes, so 110 sounds reasonable. Does seem tight though, that's the kind of torque that you actually have to stand on the wrench and jiggle up and down to get it to click

yeah, and to undo. Was a little scarey having to stand on the wrench to undo a tri-lock.....
