Just browsing the forum at the moment and a hell of a lot of pictures have been removed and replace with a not from image shack saying that it's banned. (slightly more detailed than that but my short term memory to remember what it said is not great what so ever.)

To answer my own question i've read the terms of use.

It would appear we must be doing damage to their bandwidth and therefore huge images have been banned.

We may only use thumbnails that are clickable.

Bugger.

no wonder my member's rides photos were all gone!!

perhaps you either posted something outside of their terms of service (or someone sharing your IP did, so everything from that logged IP address has been booted and banned), or you put a phenomenal number of huge pictures up.

far as i could tell, money from premium subscriptions and advertising was far outstripping their bandwidth costs (after all, if you own the server outright, it might be free?????), which is why they were not only able to continue offering the free service, but expand it from the initial 300kb all the way up to 1 meg...

hmmmm

first hit's always free, dude... maybe they've let people have a taste and are going to start charging for any hosting over a certain size / monthly total from now on?

If you were on this morning you'd have seen loads of imageshack replacement pictures instead of ppl's signitures and posted pics etc!

Ah well if it stays like this it'll be good!
