I found that both NGK and Denso have provide IRIDIUM SparkPlugs for
Polo GTI. Anyone have try??
Do you think it's a better choice to replace the stock Bosch Plugs??

I tried NGK Iridiums on my GTi and they made the car run really badly...
I got "hickups" in power (intermittent loss of power for around 1 second).
When I moved back to a set of new Bosch (OEM) plugs, the car ran fine!

I've had a similar experience in other cars - never noticed an improvement in performance from changing spark plug type or brand so I stick with OEM - just change em every 9000 miles

I got some NGK triple electrode jobs, then when I took out the old ones I found they were exactly the same, just a little more brown after 20000+ miles. Don't think they even needed changing as I noticed no difference in running afterwards.
the 'old' ones did have VAG symbols on them, so i though they were OEM? (the car had been always dealer serviced).
bstardchild - why do you change them every 9000 miles?

Ha! One shop just introduce me the "Denso Iridiums" to me, so
I ask them to install, actually I can't feel any different with stock
Bosch!
But everything ok, not bad effect
