1300 still leaking oil

my 1300 is still leaking oil...the area around the alterantor braket gets wet with oil and drips

what i wanted to ask..do the oil pumps leak? and if yes whats involved fixing it??

i'll prob do the sump and crank oil seal for good measure anyway....i already did the headgasket with was leaking and its dry there now

The oil pump is contained within the block, so it won't be the source of your leak. Lucky really, the oil pump is not a fun thing to try to remove, even with the engine out of the car..

Head gasket is the main source of leaks around the alternator, and they do sometimes go more than once (mine's just started dripping again and I've replaced it twice :shock: Think I'll get the head skimmed next time..). Also, try the rocker cover gasket, more oil leaks from there than you might expect.

deffo not the rocker cover...maybe its the sump gasket

whats the crank oil seal like to fit?? cambelt end?? anything special needed
