Ben, if you've got proof then go and see the cops. criminal damage....and remember : Resprays don't come cheap!
might be worth rigging up some security camera to watch the car incase he comes back?

go to the police!! that is criminal damage and he will have to pay your damages, court costs and will get some community service, just what he deserves.

pay him a visit and make him pay up or say u will seek legal action and police! maybe he'll regret it and pay out, if not involve the police! and get onto a solicitor! p.s, fella needa a good wake up slap

Yes, had similar problems myself. It is going to be expensive.
What comes around, goes around, if you see what I mean. Don't do anything stupid, but it is criminal damage.

my concern would be if u get it resprayed, he'll only come and do it again! then that'll be a respray down the drain!

Go to the Police first, as it quite blatantly is criminal damage (I could give the details if I had my statute books with me).
But if the Police do nothing, then I don't really see why you couldnt take a civil action against him, if you can prove he caused the damage.
But, I'm only a law student, so I suggest speaking to a Solicitor. And as for taking things into your own hands, well you're only sinking to his level then.

cheers for all the replys guys!
spoke to him, wanted to sort him out! he said he would pay up. but seeing as he has no job, i dont see that happenin ne time soon! so, went down the station, i know where he lives, etc etc gave them all the details, so at the moment jus waitin on them.
proof is the main problem, but hopefully some one should pay up!
