Help needed! - Tyre sizes on 9n

Hey guys! I need answers....
Im gonna get some 18" BBS RC wheels fors my car.. They are the Mk4 GTI 25th anniversary edition alloys.... chrome babies!!!
i think they are 18x7.5 would 225/40/18 tyres fit ok on 9n?
or would i need to get something smaller?

i have had these very same wheels on my 9n and you will be needing 215x35x18s
the front didnt catch but the back did and mine was standard ride height

I try to use 195/40/17 but My power steering indicator sometimes turn on and turn off by itself... My tyre weight is about 21kg each. Is this too heavy ? Is there any maximum weight for tyre?

im running 215/35/18s on 18x8" wheels, theres plenty of space with these tyres, lowering by a small amount willl be ok.
225/40 will knock out speedo by quite a bit

what offest are those?, they look good man, and they aren't sticking out at the back which I thought 8's would, awesome! 18's on a polo.

my wheels are offset 35, to be honest, i think anything above 38 would rub in the inner arches, as i can just fit a finger between the wheel and the arch.
they are fully legal as it doesnt stick out the arches.

whats the speedo like on 215/35/18?
because if the 225/40/18 on standard sport suspension will not rub, i'll just live with the speedo tolerance.

215/35/18s, fine, grips and handles like a dream, speedo aint tat far off...
and they lookk betta than 225/40s

any problems with the steering indicator as the weight of sterring will have been increased? petrol consumption increased too??

steering indicator? whats that?
, weight of steering has increased slightly, but u wont notice it, unless u go back to ur original 14/15" wheels.. like i did earlier this year.
petrol consumption, i had 32MPG on 14s, and around 30MPG with 18s, and prob 28MPG if i revv like hell
