took it to have a tyre fitted, they bent it trying to stretch the tyre on
Gunna have to get another outer rim made now, and hope we can get tyre on sumhow (it more difficult cos they split rim, so dont have a well for the tyre to sit into as they stretch it on)
Pain, cos I want the wheels on my car asap lol

nasty!

i can see why they should pay but then u are asking for something out of the ordinary! if they bent it putting a normal tyre on i would expect them to pay.

being that u are getting them stretched over it kinda cancels it out a little!

shame, hope you get it sorted soon!

As far as I can see, the tyre shop is totally responsible as they damaged the wheel. Did they warn you beforehand that they might damage it and, if so, did they say they would not be responsible? If they didn't I don't see that they've got a leg to stand on. Try arguiing with them and if that fails contact your local Trading Standards office to see how you stand.

Hope it sorts itself out well for you.

Ouch, that must have hurt...both your pride and joy and your wallet (purse!). Hope you get it sorted, will you be taking it to the same place once you get a replacement rim?

Na, there was no discussion before they attempted to put the tyre on, first lad said he cudnt do it, second lad tried.... but went too far!
I know we mabe shud try get sum compensation out of them, but dont think it wud be fair as we knew the wheel / tyre combination arent exactly 'the norm'!
