Why would I want two?

Top of the tree

He not very knowledgable for a 'stormer

214 out of 287 RHD cars - nope actually it's 214 out of 951 cars made and anthing below build number 400 will have bell housing cracks and a lot of other niggles that got sorted out after #400

less than 200 - hmm well we only know of 18 confirmed dead and non recoverable

And he's got the wrong size front tyres on it

The twin headlight conversion looks poo

The rear sits to low so the ride height pump or the shocks are stuffed

Can't be bothered to pick any more holes in it.....

It won't sell he probably has set a £15,000 reserve - would you buy a 14 year old twin turbo car with 132,000 miles and 5 previous owners for that sort of money?

I know of him but haven't met him at a show - he's not been a member long - often have a car for a short while and get totaly scared witless by the bills that start pouring in.......

Don't buy one if you can't maintain it yourself - Monrep charge £75 per hour and all the servicing times are as required - ie as long as it takes!!!

My brake refurb last year was cheap I did all the spanner work myself

Front discs £550
Rear discs £400
Front Pads £320
Rear Pads £40 (Mini cooper Fronts  )
Caliper seals £48 each front caliper
Caliper Seals £30 each rear caliper
Handbrake shoes £40 (Std Senator/Carlton Parts)
Custom made stainless steel Pistons £300 - std are mild steel and rust like crazy - they are racing calipers - no dust seals/jackets so pistons are exposed to air and need replacing often - not now tho...

There you go all the brakes sorted out for £1806 - nice cheap car to run

That was without a set of new boots all round at best part of £1000

This year it's mainly clutch time already bought the bits just need to drop the box out to replace it all.

I will change the timing chain as well for an uprated one

I do have a few other jobs on the list - last time I looked the boot was full of parts to replace - heat shields for the engine bay. It may not even make the road this year......
