Yeah they are 17" RS4 "Lookalike" Wheels with VW centre caps. I was thinking of getting some Mercedes blue tints next. I have a GTI spoiler but its only primered and still needs painting, but am waiting for some other bits to have painted rather then just getting one thing done.

Was thinking of getting some red door cards but i dont have a clue how to do it as it doesnt have anything in the door at the moment, how exactly do you fit door cards? They have no visable fixtures?

Gti spoiler has a brake light and so do you so you will have to loose one
if there isnt a 3rd light then its the votex spoiler

very nice car! u thoguht about a gti front spoiler?makes the front look a load nicer! the door cards are held in place by 3 screws, one by the wing mirror and two behind the grab handle on the door. the outer edge of the card is just clipped in place and comes away wen u pull it!

So if i was to get door cards they should fit in my 2000 polo 1.4 no worries? Wonder where ill be able to get some from... VW Dealership would probably charge 3 grand each. :P

How much are Gti front spoilers and how hard to fit are they?

Gti front spoiler is around about £40 from a dealer. Dunno how there fitted, goin to take mine off soon to be colour coded. Which I've been quoted £41 to have done.

The GTi front splitter is attached by screws inside the wheel arch, and then by as series of clips running round the bottom of the bumper.

It's a bit of a pain in the arse to do having to open the clips and push the splitter out from them. It's a lot easier if you can get the car up on axle-stands or something and get right underneath.

Might just get the font splitter thats on at the moment colour coded, what you guys think? There aint a masive difference between that and the GTI one!

Personally, if you're going to go to the trouble of getting the splitter colour coded, I'd get the GTi one.

To me it makes a subtle but effective change to the front end, kind of squares it up. Pics of my old 1.0E with and without GTi splitter:

This is my 6n2 before and after the gti front spoiler was added, personally i think it looks a load better, and if u r goin to the trouble of gettin the standard one sprayed you mite as well buy the gti one. Was a bit of a pain to fit but worth it! :)
