For the last two day me and my mate Tom have been trying to fix a new open air roof to his Mk4. We had the new roof but no idea, what we were doing and how to get the dam thing off.

In the end out of pure luck the roof was off.

Then began the task of trying to remember how it came off and figure out how to put the new one on.

But in the end it all work out well and its all working and looking nice.

Not bad for two days of trying to do something that we had no idea about.

The old one had faded and split. So my mate went to a Vdub garge and they wanted £700 for the top roof section then £200 odd to fit it. So he found one on ebay for £50 and fitted it our selfs.

Haha Adrian, nice post! But about it taking 2 days, i worked out we spent less than 5 hours on it, mainly cos we wasted most of the 2 days driving around and going to different breakers and scrapyards trying to find some bargains and generally buying stuff we dont need lol! :P

Thanks for the help tho mate (was defo a 2 man job to get everything lined up properly) and it looks great now, especially after the old one was completly split and faded. :D
