I damaged my wheels last month and have found some white marks on the rims.
Any tips on getting rid of the white marks? I'm not going to use acid based stuff ever again!
Thanks.

im going to guess that there alloys
im goint to guess that they might be polished
im going to guess that youve gone through the laquer
and im goint to ask for photos of the damage but i am already fairly sure that water or somthing else (wheel cleaner :acidic) had gotten under the laquer and is now feasting on your metal

Anybody help me?
I am in urgent need of a 15" BBS Split rim alloy (originally from GTi) following a slight accident with kirb the other day! Dont particularly want to pay £300 approx. for new one from VW? Where can i get hold of one chaps? Please.

In December's issue of Performance VW yhere was an article about a company called Fat Wheels in Sheerness, Kent. They specialise in split rim wheel refurbishment, offer a collection service, will loan you a set of wheels while yours are being refurbished, and prices start from £80 per wheel for split rims.
Might be worth checking them out. I will be giving them a call in the new year as my own GTi alloys need a Refurb!
