Today,My Polo GTi has "OIL" light up when start the car, around 1 min later, it disappear~
What's going on?

I'm not trying to be funny but, have you checked the oil level?

Doesn't that mean that it needs the oil change service...... Might just be that the dealer didn't reset the counter last time they serviced the car.

Yes, I think you may be right Wayeydavey, it looks like it does need an oil service, when did you last have an oil change HK 6N2?

You can reset it. The details are in the VW car manual. I think you have to hold the milometer button in for 30 seconds and then switch off the car or something like that....

I bought this Polo GTi 2 months ago, and changed the oil in that time also,
but not in VW dealer~
As I remember, the service inspect light also light up when I got this car,
and I have reset it once, why the OIL light up so early??only 2 months

Perhaps you've done a lot of miles? It comes up cos it tripped the miles for an oil change or the time between services as when reset.

my oil and service lights are out of sync. too, its just annoying that I cant reset it properly once i've done the service myself to make the reminder actually useful!
