HT leads sparking?

I had a look under my bonnet last night (car was overheating because I'd forgotten to clip the new temp sensor in place and my coolant had been pumped out of the engine over the last 7 miles :? ) and I noticed that there were little blue sparks coming from a couple of the HT leads. I'm guessing this isn't normal? It was hard to see exactly where they were coming from, but they seemed to be earthing through the cylinder head. I also got an electric shock the other day from one of the leads even though I was holding the rubber bit at the top of the end of the lead, so I'm thinking I've got a bit of an insulation problem somewhere. The leads aren't very old and I don't think they're cheap ones (came attached to the engine I bought off dubs last year). Should I change the leads, or is it normal to get a bit of sparking?

That's an arse.. I thought they were decent leads so I threw out my old perfect good set a while ago. Never mind, I'll get that done soon.. along with the new distributor, carb parts and general tune up it desperately needs now
