What would you guys suggest to sit my mk6 polo on the floor im a bit of a noob not to modding but to owning a polo I have a mk1 golf GTI and a mk1 cabrio project and I use this polo as my run around and im sick of it looking like a 4x4 I dont wanna spend heaps lowering it but want it sat on the floor on the standard alloys with spacers to sit em out a bit more,

needs a clean lol its not modded much all that ive done so far is remove the polo badge of the tailgate and the 1.4 badge is gone too, on the inside of the car ive got an alpine mp3/dab headunit a gamecube alpine tv and a 12" jl audio sub

spend £120 on some lowering springs, (-50mm) from eibach, and get some decent 16/17s

Standard shocks with lowering springs should be considered as a crime! The socks will be off in a couple of months and during this time they won't be working as they should. You should better change shocks as well

yes shocks cost money too, (socks? jk)

and springs for around £100
springs and shocks more likely to be double that,

I'd rather double my money than kill myself because my shocks are fooked.

Sorry, but vwclub.gr is right. OE shocks will die very quickly when used with aftermarket lowering springs.

To get the right height, coilovers are your only hope. I tried 30mm Eibach Springs, Nelson_Wilbury tried 50mm Eibach springs, and neither of us were happy with the height. I bought some KW coilovers, and Neil became very jealous!

well height is down to taste really isnt it?, and if speed ramps are near then coilies are too much?

wearing out quickly, how long do u rekon? 1 yr? 2yrs? etc

I had my coilovers on a VERY low height and I never caught a speedhump.

Quickly is the answer to your next question. Your shock will end up exploding/pissing out oil when it's had enough of not being able to damp and rebound.
