Right, here is the plan

But 1st I need to know it can be done.
I've got a MKII golf 16v at the moment, which I want to donate it's runnin gear to the Polo (MKII Coupe S), now is this possible, looking at engine gearbox swap, maybe clocks too, but that's an after thought.
I'll also be running larger brakes (from the golf) and uprating the suspesion.
I'm planning some 15" wheels too, they are 15x7, what size tyres should I be looking at (wanting that stretched look.)

Lots have people have thought of doing this, then thought again when they realised what a hassle it'd be

I believe there's a company in germany that makes engine mounting frames for the golf big block engines to fit to the polo, but they're not cheap.. think they were about €350 if I remember right. Otherwise you're going to have to be very good at engineering to weld in new mounts in positions where the engine will actually fit, because the polo bay's pretty tight for something as bit as a 1.8 tall block. I don't know of anyone who's actually done it though, as most people just give up and get a G40 lump in there which is pretty much a direct fit.
I shouldn't think brakes will be a problem, certainly 8v gti brakes can be fitted so I imagine you can fit the 16v setup without too much hassle. Clocks can be done but again they're not a direct fit, you have to chop polo wiring up and wire in plugs from the golf, then you have to adapt the actual mountings to fit as the clocks are deeper in the golf.

the MkI golf GTi small block engine would be the better option to go for. was going to do it to mine but gave up on the idea as i couldn't be arsed basically
if you have ever looked in the MkI GTi engine bay its massive with a tiny engine in
looks like VW just threw in some extra stuff to fill a gap
