Is this in ANY way possible?? Is there some sort of 'little' mod that could be carried out at all?

I think it would be well worth the time and effort, I would love one.

Any idea peeps?

Cheers :)

This thouthght has popped into my head many times, but the main problem is the lack of somewhere to mount it. The handbrake requires too many 'clunks' to bite (though I'm sure that can be adjusted) and immedeately after that you've got the two cupholders

Best one to try for OEM would be a Golf/Bora probably.

You might as well fit the entire seat from the Golf, Surely that would be easier than customising your seats to fit the arm rest

you can buy these from several companies, including KAMEI, but they are normally quite ugly. the plastic is shiny and you dont get the same cloth as on your seats

they sometimes sell them on ebay on the continent (you can also use the english ebay account to buy these things)

I do miss the armreast after having two successive Golfs.

The armrest does not attach itself to the seats it's mounted on a bracket that's just behind the handbrake, on the Golf the armrest was a tight fit between the seats so I doubt it would fit in the Polo. I think the best option here is to go for the aftermarket solution even if it does look ugly get it trimmed to match your seats.

Per earlier post from a few days back:
http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... 15&start=5

It's from a german company called "Raid" (?) - I'm guessing fitting instructions would be included.

There is a thread on polo9n.com where that discusses this at length - see above link.

Deek.

Nice one dxg, only problem is I can't find a translation web site good enough I trust to order one of these beauts.

Is anyone else going to order one?

Took a guess at a url and, would you adam and eve it, they've got an English site:
http://www.raid-rdi.co.uk

Can't seem to find any reseller information though - looks like you have to order a catalogue and buy from that...
http://www.raid-rdi.com/english/Katalogbestellung.doc

Although it might be worth sticking your postcode into this:
http://www.raid-rdi.com/english/haendle ... egion.html
to see if they actually have any UK stockists.

Deek.

I would be interested in ordering one if:
a) I knew how much they cost; and
b) I had a credit card
