Solid engines (from MK3 Golf), solid cars.
I was after a MK3 Sport for ages, but couldn't find a black TDI.
There aree no problems as such to look out for, just make sure the arches aren't rusting inside, and that it's been serviced regularly. Also, check for rust along the bottom of the boot window. If it's rusting there, call SEAT Customer Services and see if it's covered under warranty. They changed the anti-perforation warranty in 2001 and you might be able to get it sorted.
