evening all,

finally come into some hard cash, now its time to get some rims...

what would i be better off with? 16" or 17"? i've heard arch modification is necessary for 17's, and i dont really want to be doin that.

will 16's fit straight on?

also.. am i looking at 195 x 40 or 45?

its a x reg 2000, 6n2, 1.4

cheers!!

I've fitted 16"s on my GTI and I've had to use 195/40/16 to keep the same rolling radius...previously I was on 15" with 196/45/15 tyres.

The 16"s fit with no arch work required...there have been other forum members that have fitted 17"...if you want to go that big...

You have to remember about keeping the same or near enough rolling radius or your speedo readings will be out...

Here is a link to a calculator that will help you keep the same rolling radius...

previously I was on 15" with 196/45/15 tyres

S'all about the 17's !!!

To be honest though, i bought them so that they wud slow me down, as ive always been a bit partial to putting my foot down and only been off a ban for about 3 months now haha

16" do look sweet, i just think 17's really make the Polo look menacing.

Can we wait till I've paid her credit card off - that was a bloody expensive day for me

Actually I think it better if I don't drop her off at Lakeside next time!!!

OI OI jon_poloV !!!! sorry for not replying to your PM that u sent me ageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees ago, not really been online for a while due to outside commitments, but im back on the scene now.

Hows tricks dood? still abusing those country lanes ? AR AR :-p

Ill def be at the next Southeast meet peeps, looking forward to it for sure. Will be nice to actually put faces to names, have a smoke and waffle about how heavy the Polo is :)

My car seems to have slowed down recently, probably cos ive been ragging the arse off of it whenever i drive it haha, had plenty of races since i last spoke to anyone on here, off the top of my head i think the last car i nicely toasted round romford town was a 2ltr Celica, all noise and no guts haha

Unfortunatly one of my close mates wrapped up his VW 1.8T Golf the other day, had a run in with the Pikeys down his road, to cut a log story short, they arrived at his house when he wasnt there, about 8 of them, and they tried to kick in the front door of his house to kidnap his younger brother, madness i know, anyways his bro escaped but as Howard (my mate) was driving back he saw all of them in the van exiting his street, knowing that his bro was at home and he hadnt heard from him in a few hrs, he decided to ram them head on, because he might have been in the back HAH !

the dood is SICK ! i know he had fully com so he didnt care about the car, but like ramming a van at 40mph? SICK !

my flatmate has some pics on his phone so i will get them and re-post on this thread.

All i can say is, this 'war' he has got himself into isnt very good, we all know that you cant win a 'war' with pikeys, bit of a uphill struggle if you ask me.

Anywayz on a better note, i managed to mack myself a 32 yr old lady on a river boat cruise down the thames on saturday. Shes a Deputy Head school teacher by day, and by night and weekends she dances in music videos, shes danced with Usher, Kayne West (or wotever his name is lol) and many other hip-hop peeps, she also was the lady in the bikini with 2 hands on her boobs in the 'Im lovin it, lovin it, lovin it, im loving it like this" garage tune. God knows who sang it, the tune bugged the hell out of me haha

Apparently she even turned down calum Best's advances the other month hahaha, I guess what im really trying to say is, she musta been trashed off her head and i musta looked my best ever hahahah

Still she has a bod that wud make an 18yr old cry with jealousy

*droolz*
