Hello all...

I'm glad to have found this place it seems very well set up and frequented by people in the know.

Could anyone who has had an exhaust emission light on after starting the car post the solution so I can get some help in fixing/understanding my own problem please?

A (non) VW service outfit has said their "computer" does not show a problem but the light is on all the time and is a little worrying.

Should I be driving the car at all as the book says "get to a dealer asap..." but I really need the car to be available.

Any help gratefully received.

Hiya,

I had this problem on my car and was a little worried at first but it only turned out to be a faulty sensor which was replaced under warranty. Quite a common problem I believe. Your best taking it into a dealer to get it looked at though.

Had the same problem. My dealer said it could be some unpurity in the gasoline. After 3/4 days it disapeared. :)
