i'd have to check inside the fuel cap, but i think it's 25psi standard, and up to 32psi (rear - 28psi front) when heavily loaded.

depends on the car, the tyres, and the conditions (loading, air temp, whether you're going for grip/speed or economy/comfort etc)

but manual reccomends, for mk3 at least (mk2 can probably be a little lower because of less weight?) ... *checks book* er, lol... exactly what I already said. How spawny is that.

that's for the singlepointers on 145/80 or 75, 155/70, and 165/65s. GT and G40 it's higher, with diesel somewhere in between.

so you might be able to slacken them off for the mk2, but if you want to do any hard driving even on the lighter car/weaker engines keep it somewhere in the mid to high 20s. Higher speed = higher pressure (?)

I used to run 29psi on the front and 25psi at the back when I was running 145/80/13's as that reduces by tyrewear and made the car understeer less in wet conditions.

28 front and 40 rear

like that to baloon the rear tyre pattern and reduce understeer and makes the handbrake better

Erk.. don't your rear wheels lock up as soon as you put some pressure on the brakes like that? I have enough trouble controlling the back end under heavy braking on 25/28..
