Is it just me or when you more the gearstick over far left to engage 1st and second, the 'stop point' of tat horizontal movement seems to be alot louder like metal on metal than it was with the standard mechanism. Just me? did i install it right? all seems ok to me on the changing front.

There was no 'side bumper' to install, there wasnt one to take off and put on the B&M, the instructions says there should have been. DOnt know if that means anything

its pretty fukin annoying TBH, oh well tunes up

Yes it does, because the blue metal bit sits abit higher than the standard one, it knocks on the housing. Not really a problem, just annoyin for some i guess

hi all,

ok well its not really annoying now, got used to it now and i can bearly notice it. Its actually cause the B&M does have the bit of plastic as the guide on the bottom end of it like the standard one, its just metal on metal. Would have been better B&M but not a prob.

I got my short shifter through the group buy but they forgot to 'mod it'

all it is is there is a hole for a split pin that is too small for the one with the GTI. All you need to go it with a dremel just enlarge the exsisting hole by a fraction. 5 min job,

Thinking about getting one Andy? I still haven't fitted mine  it's sat under my bed waiting for September as I don't want to fit it without the permission of my insurers :(
