I've got my Mk4 Polo smoooooothed at the rear too and was thinking of putting a 'POLO' badge on the back. Or even spaced out 'P-O-L-O' like on the new MG's

Nice car mate, just wondering how you cut the space out the bottom bit of the back bumper to fit the tail pipe in ?
I know its metal and ive tried bending mine up and adding spacers on the bolts so it hangs lower but im still gettin some rattle at high revs !
Ive got a double tail pipe which is fairly large and i just want it to look more at home by blnding it in with the bumper !

from another post...
Tom_G_SGF wrote:I used an air tool to cut the bumper, but you prob don't have one of those, I would advise some sort of small hack saw or something (i'm sure the guys on here would have some good ideas !)
Well guys, any other ideas :?:

I'm going to need to do mine soon, but my bumpers are 1 piece not 2, so plastic I think.

don't know what it is off, i got it at gti international and made it fit, I think it was meant for an 8 valve bumper as the part number was for a 6n !

not very helpful, sorry !

well if its plastic use a hack saw, or even better a jig saw, i have seen it done with a jig saw follow theese instructions

1. mask out the wholle area with strong tape, duck or strong mask (so the material does not scrach, crack or chip)

2. draw on the shape you want (perminant marker on top of mask)

3. make sure you cut within the lines (cuz you can allways sand more away)

4. sand using different grades of wet and dry.

5. primer and paint the edges to avoid paint peeling (or add a heat shield, i have seen some no rice ones)

6. refit the bumper

by the way i accept no responsability for what happens as i saw it done on the rear valance of a focus and it may not work on yours!
