what about the performance

Hi
I am just about to leave my house to go and look at a polo GTI but i thought i would ask if there is anything i should look out for before i go.
Also what are the performance figures.

Hey Dave,
Don't know if this is going to be too late but have a look round the postings on this section...it's a common question we get asked and so I think we get kinda lazy and cannot be bothered to reply!
The performance figures as quoted by VW are 125bhp and 0-60 in about 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 128? Either way it certainly feels quick and not sluggish.
Look out for the pedal box problems, there was a recall, check that has been done, also gearbox always seem a point of failure, the alloys, there are BBS RXII split rims and are prone to corrosion, if they are in good nick the better.
Good luck and depending on where you are in the world it's a bloody nice day to go look at motors...
