What do you guys think about bulbs? Is it worth it changing to a bulb like this?
http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/prod ... bv&type=H7
Would it give better light? I had the older type of this bulb and it was OK

Yep you're right, real xenon's are really good. Have them on my Focus at the moment but won't bother retro fitting them. Don't think I can on the TDI?
But just something a little brighter than standard and they claim to be 4000k...

the hid`s from martyn are very low cost and very high quality plus i think hes offering them with longer cables now so if needed you could fit the ballasts on the strut towers or any where else you choose

I think I'll fit some 'Vision Plus' bulbs from Philips.
H7 for the main headlights, what about high beams and position lights?
Cheers.

Wow, 2k could I have more info? I would love to fit the lights and I will have the washer jets too. What about the levelling system, coz it will only have the manual one... And do you replace the reflectors with lenses?
I would love to do this so really appreciate more info on how to get them, prices etc?
The main bulb, I THINK, is H1 Babe RuthLess

Position lights, not sure...

theres more info in the diy forum and the vag parts forum (posty title guenee pigs reqd) and its just the same as replacing a bulb exept you have to fit a box at the same time and drill 1 hole but theres no permanant mods so its all removeable without a trace exept for the rear cover on the headlight which is cheep to replace
as for the washers i dont have them and havnt had a problem yet (car jet washed once a weak) and the adjusters i dont have either if i get flashed twice in a short period of time i lower the beam

Spoke to Martyn today and definitely ordering a kit! He is very helpful.
Only thing is 2k, will the bulb hit the cap at the front/inside the light or will it be okay?
And what about the normal metal clip inside the light that is to hold the standard bulb, do you take that out?
Cheers mate

Ash, just wondered, when I fit this kit on my 9N, will the dipped (xenon) light stay on when I flash my high beam?

Ok anyone, do you have a pic of a 9N Polo with the front bumper off? I need to see behind there so I can confirm there is space to mount the ballasts before I buy the kit.
Also, does the dipped beam stay on when you flash the main beam? (As above) Just normal halogen lights I mean on any 9N.
Thanks peeps

Mole did have some from when he fitted his kit.
I've gone through and found the old thread ("I got a few things yesterday"), but it's just got red-x's in it now...
Maybe if you PM him...
Deek.
