New pedals anyone?

Simple mod, but a nice touch to any car. These pedals fit most Polo's (if not all) without drilling and can be bought from your local VAG dealership. Check partnumbers before buying please, since these are LHD part numbers!

TT Pedals

Gaspedalauflage: 8N1721647B
Bremspedalauflage: 8N0721173A
Kupplungspedalauflage: 8N0721174A

Yes that is German, but you'll get it... It says Gaspedal, Brakepedal and Clutchpedal cover.

20 Year anniversary Golf GTI Mark 3 :

Gaspedal: 1M1 721 535 A

Bremspedalauflage (für Pedale mit Aussparung): 1M0 721 275 A (So that's Mk4 Polo's and up)

Bremspedalauflage (für Pedale ohne Aussparung): 1M0 721 961 A
[NOTE: Only A2 Golfs/Early Polo's (?) need this one instead of the previous one]

Kupplungspedalauflage: 1M0 721 961 A

Picture is stolen, yes.

R32 pedals

1J0 721 174 B
1J0 721 173 D
1J1 721 647 A

Where the last one is the gaspedal.

Again, not my pic.

Important:

Because most of your drive RHD cars, the gaspedalcover can be different than on LHD cars so check it and have the partsguy get you the proper RHD pedalcover!

To illustrate this, a picture (again) from Vagparts.com showing the difference in size of an accelerator pedal (R32) where the left one is the Euro/LHD spec and the right one is the RHD one.

Image

Don't get the wrong one, so if you drive a RHD car ask the correct partnumber!

The LHD part may still fit, but get the correct one to be safe. If you have the RHD part numbers feel free to add them.

A long ago I installed Lupo GTI pedals taht are exactly the same as the TT ones...
The clutch and brake pedals fit perfectly, but the gas pedal cover was a bit small so I glue it on with the glue that is used to fix spoilers....

Does anyone know which pedals will fit the Mk 3 Polo. I presume the brake and clutch are the same but is the accelerator small or big ?

Lupo GTi's are identical to the TT's, or are they different but still look the same? Just wondering here, I've already got the tt's !

I think only the accelerator pedal is different...I had problems putting mine, 'cause it doesn't directly fit to the original place...but the look almost the same...

I've heard the accelerator needs some bending to fit. Not a lot, but still. Not in my case though, could be the LHD thing that made it easy on me, it just slotted straight on.

well, to fit the accelerator pedal, I just cut a bit of the rubber under the metal plate and after that I glued it on with the rest of the glue I had from the eyebrow (spelling??)...I did this more than a year ago and it's still fixed...
As you can probably see on my picture there's the lower-left corner that doesn't have the same shape (the lupo gti pedals is not 90°), but one will never notices it....I think the TT ones have exactly the right size....

Otherwise, if I have to make another choice, I'll chosse the 20th anniversary golf gti ones...they look better...

And they are quite rare too. That's gotta be worth something as well...

I've got the TT ones...

The Clutch fits 100%

The Brake fits with some cutting (to make the rubber rear look like standard)

The Gas is too short, so I chopped off some of the rubber at the top and used araldite to glue it on.

They are all fine
