Revolutions forum showed me this pic that he took at a VW museum.
I love it, front would look so good debadged too...

looks like the 'fun/dune' cos of the bodykit and the wheels....fun is 20mm higher than our polos anyway

was that not one that had a 1.8T engine and was rejected as an option for the polo? I'm sure this was posted about a year or so a go

It is very similar!
Same alloys and the bumper is near the same.

It's the R18 prototype.

Apparently - the story goes - it was produced by the VW engineers and then reviewed by management. Management looked at it and went "Nah..." Hence, it wound up in this museum (at the Autostad, I think).
If VW ever made a wrong decision, that's one of them.
