So here's a thing...

When I bought my Polo I was told that VW Assistance lasted for the first year only. That was good as I had to call them out a couple of times.

Fast forward to today. My car is three years old at the end of the month and a letter's just turned up inviting me to renew -- so that means I've had Assistance for two years that I didn't know about!

What were you told?

On my 1.2 I was under the impression that we were covered for one year only.

Then for some reason we looked at our service contract thingy we were paying for monthly to cover servicing costs and found out that with this pack your paying for vw assistance with this so it lasts 3 years.

i had mine for 1 yr... recently ive recieved about 10 letters reminding me bout renewal

That explains it -- I've got that contract too. It's paying for its MOT in a couple of weeks and I hope to get a set of tyres out of it well. May as well give it a shot...
