Hi,
I recently supected that there are some ignoring sqeaks
came from the plastic hood above the meter unit.
I've tried unscrew the only screw I've seen there,
but I still can't get the idea how to remove it.
Anyone tried before?

It's a tough one mate. You need to squeeze your fingers in right at the back where it meets the dashboard and then pull hard towards you. It's very tight but it's the only way to do it.
Good luck solving the squeaks and rattles, i tried and still haven't managed it.

I seem to have developed a load of new squeeks since the weather heated up. Obviously expanding stuff or something.
That storage thing below the radio is the worst one, it's driving me mad. And the cover for the steering wheel adjuster has started rattling as well.
Think I'll just strip everything out and go minimalistic....

The haynes manual states that its very tricky to get the hood off, after removing the torx screw (just the one) it advises to push the sides of the hood inwards as the 4 clips that hold it in place are evenly spaced.
To be honest i wouldnt bother, i doubt you will achieve anything by removing it and putting it back. Its most likely the heat causing the rubber /plastic to expand. With age the plastic becomes less elastic and more hard/brittle and therefore it creaks more instead of "giving".

Oh more like to break something and make something else rattle! Covering it in sello tape may help though...hee hee!
