gti bbs wheels

hi there! iv just bought some bbs split rims of a polo gti and want to get them powder coated just need to know what there made out of as if there magnesium they will just crumble in the stripper for the powder coating? can you guys help!! thanks

hi
im not sure what there made of im afraid but if you check the diy part of the forum there is a thread called GTI split rim refurb - cleaned up post. This shows a set of bbs rims being refurbed which have powder coated centers.
Not sure if that helps.
