Alright Neil, I'm nearly 19 and I'm going to be going with Elephant.co.uk, they've quoted me online £1664 I think, the figures keep on changing (on the phone is a bit dearer but allows you to pay monthly, online you can only pay a one off amount)

hi i got my Gti whan i was 18, went with elephant and it cost me £1400 when i was 18, just paid it again last month and im 19 now and it was £1000. best do it on the net, and try it more than once cause the price drops, plus put like your mum and dad on it helps.

When I first got my GTi I was 22, 3 years' NCB, it was £780. Direct Line. Won't let you modify though!

Only reason I'm not gonna do it online is I can't afford the one off payment, I have put my mum and dad on though as named drivers.

you dont have to do a one off payment- even online. I did mine with tescos online and i pay monthly

With most of them you don't but with Elephant.co.uk who are the cheapest for me if you do it online you have to pay it all in one go, if you do it over the phone then you can pay monthly

but thats cheating, cos your saying your mum/dad is the main driver, its cheaper cos of your parents experience. age etc..

No he's not, I think what he's saying is he is the main driver but has his mum and dad as named drivers, which takes it down.
