I had my mk3 lowered 40mm yesterday. It was great until today.. I was driving along then all of a sudden this noise came from nowhere it sounds like something vibrating on something else and it makes the car shake. It's ok when I turn but it's when I'm going in a straight line.... Help.

what general area is the noise coming from? could be the exhaust catching underneath the car? have you got bigger than standard wheels fitted?

I'm pretty certain it's coming from under the bonnet. I've just got standard 14's ...It tends to be louder when I'm slowing down.. I drove it around for hours yesterday and then it started today after about an hour

14's weren't standard on mk3's. was just wondering wether it could be the tyres scrubbing, but if it suddenly started it wouldn't be that.

yeah but usually youd have to be up to 15s before seeing any trouble, right? unless theyre pretty fat 14"s or have tyre profiles more commonly seen on 13s

The mk3 match comes with standard 14" Sport Rader alloys...
they're not at all fat... but the tyres are not at all low profile... I've checked everwhere and there doesn't appear to be any scrubbage though.
