Still driving my first car, though it's changed a bit since I bought it.

Five and a half years I've owned my car!

Learnt to drive in a mk5 fiesta (the one before the current one)

First car was a 1990 Polo Ranger in A colour that was either royal blue or very similar.

Only had it 7 weeks (hence the crap pic) Taxi Driver crashed into the back of it and wrote it off. So then I got a mk3 polo CL in silver (which I consider to be my first car in many respects as I did nothing to the mk2 except put a cd player in it) And as far as I know this car still exists, saw it a couple of months back when I was at uni. I p/x'd it for a mk5 polo estate (they only time i briefly strayed from type 86's)

Note the roofbars and the steel sunroof, both uber rare mk3 optional extras for a CL. Also the Volvo 240 estate in the pic is the first car I drove (it used to be my dads.)

Learnt to drive in my mum's mk1 shogun 2.5td and my dad's mk2 clio 1.6. First car I drove after passing my test (and car I passed my test in) was the clio. The first car I've actually owned is the polo.

My first car was a 1989 F-reg Flame Red special edition Mini, with a genuine 23,000 miles on the clock, which stayed totally standard (including the original Philips headunit and two little speakers on the rear shelf) apart from a chrome grille to replace the old black rusting one. I understand the previous owner to me had replaced the standard shocks and springs with aftermarket items, "Gabriel" was stamped on the shocks - he said they were as close to stock as possible but either way, it was a cracking little car 8)

I had plans for clear front indicators and 12" Minilite alloys but I was at Uni for the four years when I owned the Mini, so my money was better spent on rent and beer

I sold it to a young lad from Newport (Shropshire, not Wales) and believe it is still going strong, now with a row of spotlamps across the grille, bonnet stripes and Minilites :)

My second and current car is the Polo 8)

Gabriel shocks are pattern shocks sold by the tyre fitter types.

OE spec, but crap.
