i have just braught a polo gti, but the gearbox does feel abit different to normal cars, its very open and feels loose is this normal?? or is my gearbox going

As long as the 'box changes gear smoothly and without drama, you should be fine. It can be quite notchy on a cold winter's morning but other than that OK.

may not fully engaged. I've replaced the the bush of the linkage,
now the free play is a lot lesser, and not more crunch in reverse.
It was not your fault, it is the common issue for our GTI,yes i have grinded it once already, it feels as its in reverse but it isnt really, but thats becoz im not used 2 the different cars that i drive
