Having just sold my Cupra R and got rid of a nasty loan, I am about to be the proud owner of a Red Polo Gti with leather / Climate and Xenons. I have hopefully got a good deal at £4800 privately (Xplate), although I need to spend some money on the alloys and removing two nasty key lines down the passenger side. Had a look thro' the forum and full of useful info - just wondering whether the cd in-dash multi0changer would fit ??

Hi, welcome to the forum - nice car - post up some pics :D shame about that damage, hope comes out ok

To answer your question, yes the VW cd-changer would fit in the front, below the vw headunit, after removing the cubby hole

Alright Neil. As inder says, the in dash changer goes in no probs and is a nice addition. I put one in mine as when I bought it, the boot mounted one had been removed. It's less hassle and you get some more nice red lights on the dash, which is always good....Anyway, enjoy the car.

P.S Don't buy the changer from VW as you can get them on ebay for around £150-£200 and VW charge about £400......

Just driven car home. Very pleased with it, although I think pass. heated seat not working properly, still paid very fair price. Seems a better quality than the Leon although obviously not as quick, but hey it is not all about speed !

Thanks for advise on 6-disk, just got to decide whether to go for one of those, wire the ipod into the gamma head unit or (reluctantly) change to one of those alpine units which reads the ipod.

See a few posts about cruise control, but (like the Cupra), appears fairly difficult to do unless you happen to know a friendly man with a vag compatabile laptop !
