got the insurance swapped over last nyt, put my 1st love the 205 to bed till next year! well chuffed with the gt polo but...
what the hell is this lumbar support about, how do i get rid of it its rubbed a small hole in my back!!!
apart from that i am well pleased with it it picks up realy well between 50 and 90 and sounds mint with just a k and n panel filter, i was also suprised at the way it handles!
and those cup holders in the glove box my my my!

Lumbar is non adjustable unfortunately.. but sometimes the problem is that the padding breaks down and you get a nasty lump in the small of your back. If so, it's not hard to use a golf gti mk2 seat as a donor for the padding, fit it to your current seat rather than swapping material onto the golf seat as this way you retain the polo runners which are just slightly different. If you use a passenger seat as a donor then you can do the bolsters while you're at it and firm them up a bit, makes a big difference.

I'll happily have your lumbar seats if you want, swap them - I got used to having it in the ashtray - going back to the polo, i'm finding i cant do without ... the CL seats have absolutely no concept of it! Meaning I'm having to arch my back up off them to avoid massive aches.

If I was driving it every day for the next few months I'm sure I'd be perfectly used to it before too long, but for just one short week it's too much of a shock

Tahrey, I think he means it's buggered rather than it's actually got proper lumbar support My original seats were like that, seriously uncomfortable to drive any distance with. Like I said though, it's not hard to sort out if you can lay your hands on a passenger seat from a golf gti to use as a donor.

I'm keeping the seats in now anyway, my vertebrae clicked back into their old (quasimodo-like) position when I got in to drive home and it's more comfy now

Funny how the seats break up like that (the side bolsters it is usually though isnt it?) ... is that a general car thing or just VW, as i haven't experienced that particular "pleasure" in any other vehicle, even some real clankers.
