Just tryed to change the front indicator bulbs in my Polo GTi (not side repeaters) and its too tight to get your hand in there behind to just remove the old ones!!

Can anyone show me or tell me how to remove the whole indicator unit?

Thanks, phill.

If you look under the bonnet just above the indicator lens there is a white piece of plastic with a phillips type slot gently turn it and it should raise up, the indicator should then be able to pulled forward to change the bulbs. Don't force anything as it is all pretty fragile

Strange question, but on a similar topic, my sidelights look very poor against the Xenons. I note from another thread they do a 5w and 10w bulb that fits, can the polo's wiring take the 10w bulb ! ?

10w ok

Just had an e-mail from autobulbs confirming that 10w bulbs are ok.

Thanks.

Now try changing them. Different topic altogether. Don't think you'll bother. :D

Top tip. Wait until one blows and then change the lot. Unless you are really bored and have a couple of hours to spare

Still confused over what bulbs are needed to go with the Xenon's. Do people agree that it is a W5W (501) sidelight with a H1 Mainbeam...

What do they look like then? I know that mine has the Silvery looking indicator bulbs, which look pretty phat instead of the orange - Can't look at the other bulbs yet because I'm picking it up either Thursday or Friday (can't wait!!!)

Polosilver get yourself elsa win and take the bumper off yourself!!

Its not hard to do its only few bolts and you can leave the bottom screws in under the splitter and just flap the bumper down!
