Need a full set of 20 wheel bolts to fit my 9n! They need to be chrome as they will be on show on my new alloys. Where is the best place to get a set? And I also want a set of 4 locking wheel bolts too but Iam guessing I will get these at the same place! Is halfords any good?

As for bolts.... never used them before but have a look @ www.performancealloys.com. Not sure if they do them though.

I think most good alloy wheel shops sell them.

Just ring around a few places or look in the car performance mags.

Yeah cheers guys! I got some from the place I bought my tyres from today. £20 for 16 alloy wheel bolts!!! But hey I needed them! Is this a good/bad price? I've never bought any before so I'm not sure.

True, them be expensive thingies.

It's just how it is, it hurts, but you don't want to skimp on quality there.

So was £20 ok then? He said it will be another £20 for locking wheel bolts but he doesnt have any at the moment! Is he taking the mick or is that the going rate?

locking bolts are usually a bit more than that but if there a good make then go for it but i advise you to stay away from oz style ones with the miute splines and then 3 big splines as when they corrode a little and a spanner jockey get on them with his air gun they go "SCHREEEECH" and you think thats not good as they wield the big hammer and start hammering sockets onto your locking nuts

Prices don't seem too far off, IMO.

Locking nuts are quite expensive too, so that's not unreasonable I believe.

Oh well better safe than sorry! £20 for 4 small bolts! But I suppose £20 is a small price to pay for "saftey" of your alloy wheels!
